Now may the God of peace, who brought up from the dead our Lord Jesus— the great Shepherd of the sheep— through the blood of the everlasting covenant, equip you with everything good to do his will, working in us what is pleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen - Hebrews 13:20-21 We echo the prayers of the author of Hebrews as a church for one another. We exist to declare the supremacy of Christ in our lives, work and families. It is only because and through Christ that we can do this, so to Him be the glory today!

In John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress, he describes the church as the “Palace Beautiful”, not because he marveled at the European cathedral structures, but because he loved the people he was joined to in his local congregation. As one who endured hardships, Bunyan had experienced the value of being a part of a local body. Here is Bunyan’s description: “But while he was thus bewailing his unhappy miscarriage, he lift up his eyes, and behold there was a very stately palace before him, the name of which was Beautiful; and it stood just by the highway side.” Yes, we the people of NMZ are broken and sinful people but we have been redeemed by God and the Holy Spirit indwells us; therefore we have the ability to love one another like God loves us. So, God’s people loving God’s people is certainly a beautiful thing. If you don’t have a church home, we’d love to be it. Come join us as we worship the Resurrected Jesus. Just wanted to update everyone regarding the results of our Operation Christmas Child Shoe box Project. On Monday, November 12th we delivered 91 shoeboxes to the collection center for delivery to the processing center in Atlanta. A special thank you to each of you who put together a shoebox to be distributed to some less fortunate soul somewhere in this world. While we may never know in this life who received the shoebox you prepared with love we do know that each box is dedicated to bringing joy and hope in this lost world. I would love to be able to post here where a particular box went if you indicated a desire to know where your box ends up. Please let Phyllis or me know if you setup tracking on your box. Again, God Bless each of you for the time, love and sacrifice of funds to fill each shoebox. This 91 number was up from the 72 a year ago. In His love working together, Dich and Phyllis Healy Project Leaders

Attention 18-25 year olds of NMZ, I need your help! With the growing need to continue to develop the young adults after they finish high school, and because of recent success of the last two graduating classes through the work of the Lord via people of joy club and youth group ministries, a college and career age ministry has become a need in the church for those ages 18-25. This ministry exists to bridge the gap between high school ministry and the life of the church during a time when most people leave the church for a period of time, in order to serve as protection from the world during vulnerable years. Therefore, as we develop this ministry, we need your help in order to make it the most effective and how it can fit into your schedule. The best way for you to help us, is to answer this questionnaire to help determine when, where and how we ought to run this ministry. Thanks in advance. What day of the week and what time would best work for you to meet? (Tuesday and Wednesday nights excluded) What kind of meeting would you prefer? Small group Service (with music and such) Lecture (kind of like Sunday School) Where do you want to meet? The church Pastor Joey’s A Coffee Shop What material do you want to go through (you can pick more than one option) Verse by Verse through a book of the Bible Book Study Topical Should we have ourselves a name and what? (For example in WV when we did a ministry like this we called it “The Shelter”) If you could answer these as soon as possible that would be best. You can either text me or email me ( [email protected]) your answers or turn in a physical copy on my desk at the church. Grace and Peace -Pastor Joey
